Two Women Wanted for the Murder of Tillamook State Forest Found in Nevada

NEVADA, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – The Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office reports that two women who were listed as people of interest in a homicide in the county have been apprehended.
Deputies were looking for 40-year-old Alyssa Z. Sturgill and 41-year-old Lisa M. Peaslee on Saturday afternoon, according to the sheriff’s office. Sturgill and Peaslee were linked to the death of a 52-year-old man discovered in a Tillamook State Forest campground on December 2. The identity of the victim has not yet been revealed.
According to the sheriff’s office, Sturgill and Peaslee stole the victim’s light blue 2002 Toyota Sienna minivan.
According to the sheriff’s office, Sturgill and Peaslee, as well as the victim’s minivan, were found in Nevada on Sunday, Dec. 4.
Tillamook County detectives were dispatched to Nevada to conduct the investigation.
The investigation is still underway, and the sheriff’s office has not given any further information.
