NEVADA – The five victims killed in a medical transport plane crash have been identified as 32-year-old Edward Pricola, 27-year-old Ryan Watson, 46-year-old Scott Walton, 69-year-old Mark Rand, and 66-year-old Terri Rand, according to the Washoe County coroner’s office.
All of them died from blunt force trauma injuries.
The plane, a PC-12 fixed-wing aircraft, was headed from Reno to Salt Lake City on February 24 when it broke apart midair around 9:14 p.m., and crashed in an area near Stagecoach, Nevada.
Although the weather conditions were not severe enough to preclude the flight, the plane experienced icing and moderate turbulence before the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the incident, and the final report may take 12 to 18 months to be released.
Friends and family of the victims have created GoFundMe fundraiser pages, which have already raised tens of thousands of dollars.
