Gunman At Large Following Fatal Double Shooting Outside Northeast Las Vegas Shopping Plaza

LAS VEGAS, NV — Homicide detectives are conducting a sweeping valley-wide manhunt following a deadly double shooting outside a commercial strip mall in northeast Las Vegas on Thursday night.

The targeted ambush left an adult male deceased on the parking lot asphalt and an adult female hospitalized with severe ballistic trauma.

The emergency dispatch grid activated at approximately 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 18, 2026, after the department’s automated ShotSpotter audio array registered a volley of rapid gunfire originating within the 4900 block of East Craig Road. Multiple urgent 911 calls from local business owners simultaneously confirmed active muzzle flashes in the parking lot.

Metro Homicide Lieutenant Robert Price confirmed that a man and a woman had just completed a routine cycle inside a local retail laundromat facility. As the pair exited the business carrying laundry bundles and walked toward their parked vehicle, an unidentified male suspect materialized from the darkness and approached them.

Parking Lot Ambush and Homicide Hunt

According to preliminary witness interviews, a brief verbal altercation erupted between the parties in the middle of the parking stalls. The unknown suspect abruptly produced a semi-automatic handgun and opened fire at close range, unleashing multiple rounds into both victims before fleeing the commercial plaza on foot.
