The investigation began at approximately 1:46 PM on Tuesday when patrol officers and emergency medical personnel responded to reports of an unresponsive male lying on the asphalt pavement in the 1200 block of South Eastern Avenue, near East Charleston Boulevard.
While initial 911 dispatch calls characterized the incident as a medical emergency, medical technicians rendering aid discovered penetrating gunshot wounds on the victim’s body. Emergency personnel pronounced the man deceased at the scene, immediately prompting a response from the LVMPD Homicide Section.
Rapid Identification and Custody
Detectives spent Tuesday afternoon reviewing high-resolution commercial surveillance footage from retail plazas, auto shops, and adjacent storefronts along the South Eastern corridor.
