Two Young Men Are in Custody for Allegedly Shooting Four People
LAS VEGAS – Two young men are accused of shooting four individuals in a string of crimes involving at least five scenes and a ghost gun, authorities said.
Lawrence Ishii, 20, and Luis Ruiz, 19, are charged with attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon.
Police said 12 gunshots were fired at a residence on Sept. 5. Police paperwork conceals the address.
The homeowner informed officers his bedroom window and wall were shot in July. Two “younger Hispanic [guys]” were seen entering a dark car, police added.
A person was shot near Washington Avenue and Decatur Boulevard on Sept. 5. Police say the shooter also shot 6-8 fleeing people.
Two men with identical characteristics were seen writing graffiti on Sept. 7. Police said one of the males fired two bullets at someone who followed them.
Sept. 8 saw a shooting at Fremont and Palm. Police located a headshot victim and a foot shot victim.
A man was shot in the abdomen on Sept. 12. Documents conceal the location.
All five shootings were from the same gun, according to tests on Sept. 14. Surveillance video from another gunshot shows suspects climbing a fence and fleeing, police said.
Witnesses confirmed one suspect’s identity on social media, police said.
Officers arrested the two guys on Sept. 23 near St. Louis and Wyoming avenues, near the gunshot areas. Inside the home, officers recovered a ghost gun, a black Polymer gun without a serial number.
Police found the ghost gun in a vent. Police found ammo in another vent. Officers found clothing matching surveillance video suspects.
Ishii and Ruiz refused to speak with investigators, authorities claimed.
Ishii and Ruiz each got $50,000 bail.
