Don’t Lick a Toad if You See One
Keep your tongue tucked inside your mouth if you encounter a toad.
In a Facebook post made earlier this month, the National Park Service emphasized this point.
Officials at the park made the announcement even though few people would want to lick a toad.
The toads of the Sonoran Desert, also called Colorado River toads, are rumored to produce a potent toxin from their salivary glands, which could pose major health risks or even prove fatal.
