According to Neocis, Inc., the firm that designed it, he’s utilizing the Yomi Robotic Dental system, the first FDA-approved device.
Yomi, according to Discovery Dental dentist Dr. Endalkachew Mersha, functions as a GPS device to guide dental implants into the appropriate placement. Yomi allows implant treatments to be completed in a single session rather than over several weeks.
The patient also has reduced discomfort and downtime. If Yomi is utilized, insurance companies that cover implants will also cover them.
