The CEO of Nevada Liquor Business Was Drunk at the Time of the Terrible Accident

ELKO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – The CEO of a booze business was reportedly intoxicated at the time of a deadly collision in 2021, according to a report issued by Nevada authorities.

According to toxicology findings obtained by the Nevada State Police, Lee’s Liquor CEO Kenny Lee had a blood alcohol percentage of.218%.

“This shows that [Lee] was driving with a blood alcohol level of more than 2.5 times the legal limit of 0.08%,” police said in the report.

The accident occurred on November 19, 2021, along the Nevada-Utah border on US Highway 93 at mile marker 28 between Ely and West Wendover. According to the first report on the collision, Kenny Lee, 58, was not wearing a seatbelt.

Kenny Lee was driving a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan loaded with liquor bottles when the van strayed into the opposing lanes, according to police. A white Ford pickup truck tried to escape the Dodge, but the two cars crashed partially head-on. Kenny Lee was declared deceased on the spot.

Kenny Lee died not long after his father, Hae Un Lee, who died of pancreatic cancer in August 2021. Lee’s Discount Liquor was started in 1982 by Hae Un Lee. Kenny Lee was the CEO of the Nevada-based business, which has 21 locations.
