87-Year-Old Lady Dies in West Las Vegas Weeks After Collision on December 15

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Police said an 87-year-old lady who was killed several weeks after being involved in a collision on December 15 in the west valley.
The collision happened at around 4:53 p.m., according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. along North Rampart Boulevard and Del Webb Boulevard on December 15.
According to witnesses and the evidence found at the scene, a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze was driving northbound on Rampart Boulevard as it approached Del Webb Boulevard in the left-turn lane, according to the police. On Rampart Boulevard, a 2018 Ford Escape was moving southbound as it approached Del Webb Boulevard.
The Chevrolet turned left into the path of the Ford, who then struck the Chevrolet in the intersection, according to the police.
According to the report, emergency medical services took both drivers to University Medical Center.
Both drivers were expected to survive, according to LVMPD, and the department’s collision investigation Section did not respond to the collision scene. The release states that the 87-year-old driver of the Chevrolet suffered critical injuries from the collision while the 60-year-old driver of the Ford sustained “suspected minor injuries.”
The driver of the Chevrolet died as a result of her injuries, according to police, who were informed by the Clark County Coroner’s office. On January 2, she was declared dead, according to the police.
She was killed in the collision that happened last year, making her passing the 153rd traffic fatality in 2022.
The Clark County Coroner’s office will disclose the victim’s identity as well as the reason and manner of death.
The Las Vegas police are still looking into the crash.
