LAS VEGAS – The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will provide $31 million in funding for baggage system upgrades at Harry Reid International Airport in Nevada, according to U.S. Rep. Dina Titus. The upgrades, planned for Terminals 1 and 3, will modernize the baggage system with new conveyors, carousels and standby power systems to enhance capacity, security, and energy efficiency.
The airport, managed by Clark County, has seen a record 52.6 million passengers in 2022 and 4.37 million in January alone.
Titus, a senior member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, also reintroduced the Air Carrier Access Amendments Act, which aims to expand the rights of passengers with disabilities in air travel.
