Woman with 6 Prior DUIs Arrested Again, Allegedly Driving Under Influence Without License

Las Vegas, NV – A woman with a history of DUI arrests, Richa Birdow (44), was arrested on Thursday, February 1st, for driving under the influence again, according to documents obtained by 8 News Now Investigators. This marks her seventh DUI arrest in total.
Details of the Arrest:
- Police pulled over Birdow on Flamingo Road near Palos Verdes Street due to a malfunctioning taillight and erratic driving.
- Officers noted slurred speech, squinted eyes, and a strong odor of alcohol.
- Birdow admitted to having one drink but denied being intoxicated.
- Further investigation revealed Birdow was driving with a revoked license and had rented the vehicle, raising questions about how this was possible.
- Birdow allegedly displayed erratic behavior, including grabbing the patrol car and rocking back and forth.
Prior Offenses:
- Birdow has six prior DUI arrests, including two felony convictions in 2013 and 2017.
- In the 2017 case, under the name Melissa Gray, she received a 2-5 year prison sentence.
- Her license was revoked in 2009, but she has been arrested for DUIs multiple times since then.
Current Charges and Bail:
- Birdow faces charges of felony DUI and driving with a revoked license.
- Her initial court appearance set bail at $20,000, but she was released due to prosecutors not filing a criminal complaint within 48 hours.
- Her next hearing is scheduled for March 4th.
