Judge Blocks Custody for Ex-Husband in Summerlin Murder-Suicide Case

A judge has issued a temporary order preventing Dylan Houston from gaining custody of his children following a tragic murder-suicide that unfolded during a child custody deposition in Summerlin on Monday, April 8th.
The incident claimed the lives of Ashley Prince (30) and Dennis Prince (57) at Prince Law Group. Joe Houston (77), representing his son Dylan in the ongoing custody battle, is suspected of fatally shooting the couple before turning the gun on himself.
Just hours after the shooting, a judge issued a temporary custody order in favor of a family member of Ashley Prince. The order cites the “shocking double homicide, and suicide, which occurred on today’s date” as the basis for awarding custody to a third party instead of the surviving natural parent, Dylan Houston. The children in question are 4 and 5 years old.
A new hearing to discuss custody arrangements has been scheduled for April 17th.
