Las Vegas Valley Rallies to Help The Animal Foundation Amidst Overcrowding
By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, June 17, 2024 11:52 am
The Animal Foundation is overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible response from the Las Vegas Valley community in its recent call for foster homes. The shelter posted their appreciation on social media Friday evening, highlighting that a staggering 77 pets found temporary loving homes in just one day.
This surge in fostering comes after a period of immense strain for The Animal Foundation. Since the beginning of June, the shelter has received nearly 1,000 animals, pushing them to “crisis capacity.” Due to a lack of space, they were forced to house some dogs in emergency pop-up kennels.
Thankfully, the community stepped up in a big way. The Animal Foundation is closed on Mondays, but they will reopen on Tuesday to resume adoption and fostering.
For anyone interested in fostering a dog, The Animal Foundation provides everything needed to care for the animal during its stay.
