NRCC Launches Paid Ad Campaign Against Dina Titus, Susie Lee & Steven Horsford Over Tax Hike

By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, June 27, 2025 3:00 am

The National Republican Congressional Committee announced a paid advertising campaign aimed squarely at three Nevada Democrats—Reps. Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford—blasting them for backing what the NRCC calls “the largest tax hike in generations.” This high-stakes messaging blitz looks to highlight their votes against key provisions that would have shielded everyday earners from tax increases.

The NRCC accuses these congressmembers of fueling inflation and targeting working families to bankroll what it dubs a “radical agenda.” The ad delivers a direct address to Nevadans: “Tell Dina Titus to keep her hands off your hard‑earned money.” It calls out her vote against tax relief on tips and overtime pay—framed as blatant disregard for workers.

This ad is part of a wider campaign targeting at least 25 House Democrats considered vulnerable—including the Nevada trio—for supporting higher taxes. The initiative aligns with Republicans’ push for Trump-era tax cuts, extended by the so‑called “Big Beautiful bill.”

The NRCC argues opponents of the bill “lit the fire of inflation” by rejecting major tax relief for families. According to NRCC spokesman Christian Martinez, “Out-of-touch Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford lit the fire of inflation and tried to slap Nevadans with the biggest tax hike in decades, all to fund their radical agenda. Voters won’t forget this betrayal—not now, not next November.”

Titus (NV‑01), Lee (NV‑03), and Horsford (NV‑04) represent districts where economic concerns, housing affordability, and rising living costs remain top priorities. The NRCC positions their votes as a direct threat to Nevada households—painting them as ideologically driven decision‑makers, not protectors of working families.

With midterms approaching, the ad blitz marks a new phase in the GOP’s efforts to cast Democrats as fiscally irresponsible. The NRCC asserts that voting records on tax reforms and inflation-fighting posture will be central to the upcoming election cycle.
