Susie Lee’s Hypocrisy on “No Tax on Tips” Exposes Her Betrayal of Nevada Workers

Nevadans aren’t fooled by Susie Lee’s pathetic backpedaling. For years, Lee has tried to market herself as a champion of working families. But when given the chance to actually stand up for them, she sold them out, voting against the “No Tax on Tips” proposal and marching in lockstep with her radical party bosses in Washington.

The measure, a commonsense effort to ensure Nevada’s service workers can keep more of their hard-earned pay, should have been a no-brainer for anyone representing Las Vegas and its tourism-driven economy. Yet Lee sided against it, betraying tens of thousands of waiters, bartenders, hotel staff, and other workers who rely on tips to make ends meet.

Now, after getting burned for her vote, Lee is scrambling to rewrite history. In a cowardly tweet, she suddenly declared: “To be clear, I support no tax on tips.” Nevadans see right through it.

Susie Lee’s vote wasn’t just a betrayal, it was part of a broader pattern. Instead of standing with the working-class Nevadans who fuel the state’s economy, she once again chose to stand with party leadership. By rejecting “No Tax on Tips,” Lee showed that when push comes to shove, she prioritizes Washington politics over Nevada paychecks.

Her record gets even worse. Lee has backed massive tax-and-spend agendas, including the largest tax hike since World War II. While families struggle under skyrocketing prices, Lee’s solution has been to take even more out of their pockets. That’s not representation, it’s exploitation.

Lee’s sudden reversal on social media reeks of desperation. Facing backlash at home, she’s trying to erase her record with a few tweets. But Nevadans know better. No amount of spin can hide the fact that she voted against giving service workers the relief they deserve.

It’s the same double-talk Nevadans have come to expect from Lee: one story in Nevada, another in Washington. Her hypocrisy is so glaring that even Democrats are starting to question her credibility. From government shutdown brinksmanship to her attacks on law enforcement funding, Lee has consistently chosen radical partisan loyalty over Nevada values. Her “No Tax on Tips” betrayal is just the latest example.

Nevadans aren’t fooled. They know who Susie Lee really is: a shameless hypocrite who stabbed workers in the back and is now lying through her teeth to cover it up.

“Out of touch Democrat Susie Lee is a shameless hypocrite. She stabbed Nevada’s workers in the back by voting against No Tax on Tips, then doubled down by backing the largest tax hike since World War II. She’s lying through her teeth, hoping voters forget her record of betrayal,” said NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez.

The truth is clear: Nevada workers can’t afford Susie Lee’s lies any longer.
