A domestic dispute in Las Vegas turned deadly late Thursday night, leaving one man dead and two others critically injured, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers were called to a home near East Lake Mead Boulevard and Marion Drive shortly after 10 p.m. following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said one man died at the scene while two others, a man and a woman, were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Preliminary findings indicate that the incident began as an argument between a son and his parents before escalating into violence. Detectives believe all three individuals were family members. Authorities have not released their identities pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public. The LVMPD Homicide Section continues to investigate the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death.
