Horsford Ignores Illegal Immigrant Health Costs While Demanding More Taxpayer Bailouts

Rep. Steven Horsford wants Nevadans to believe rising health care costs are entirely the fault of Republicans. But in his lengthy MSNOW interview, he carefully avoided discussing one of the most obvious cost drivers, Democrats’ relentless expansion of taxpayer-funded benefits.
Horsford demanded billions more in Obamacare subsidies while listing every cost pressure facing families: housing, groceries, childcare, utilities. Conspicuously absent from his list was the growing burden placed on health care systems by taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants — a policy direction Democrats continue to push.
Every expansion increases demand. Every increase in demand strains providers, raises premiums, and lengthens wait times. Yet Horsford’s solution is always the same: more subsidies, more spending, and no serious conversation about limits.
That is not reform. It is avoidance.
Nevadans who work hard, pay taxes, and struggle to afford coverage are told they must shoulder higher costs indefinitely — while Democrats refuse to acknowledge how their policies compound the problem. Horsford’s message boils down to this: pay more now, trust us later.
Conservatives believe affordability requires discipline, accountability, and prioritizing citizens. Horsford offers none of the above — only another bailout.
