Henderson police have released additional information regarding an officer-involved shooting tied to an alleged kidnapping attempt earlier this year.
According to authorities, officers responded to a report involving a suspect accused of attempting to kidnap a woman. Police said the incident escalated when the suspect failed to comply with commands, leading officers to discharge their weapons.
The suspect was struck and later transported to a hospital. Police confirmed the individual survived the shooting and remains under investigation. No officers were injured during the encounter.
Investigators stated that the victim and suspect were known to each other, and the woman was able to escape before officers arrived. The case remains under review, and additional details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
