As Americans rang in the New Year, Democrats made one thing crystal clear: the radical wing isn’t knocking on the door anymore – it’s running the place.
Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as mayor of New York City, cementing the Democrat Party’s full embrace of its most extreme agenda. The moment was met with roaring applause from the far-left base because, for them, this wasn’t just a swearing-in. It was a takeover.
Video circulating online shows the crowd erupting as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared Mamdani would be the “FIRST MUSLIM MAYOR” of New York City. Mamdani was sworn in on the Quran – an image Democrats celebrated as “historic,” while conveniently forgetting the policies that come with it.
Defund the police.
Abolish ICE.
Soft-on-crime chaos.
Antisemitic dog whistles.
Tax-and-spend socialism on steroids.
The National Republican Congressional Committee didn’t mince words, warning this moment marks a turning point for Democrats nationwide:
“Radical socialist Zohran Mamdani, the leader of the Democrat Party, will soon be sworn in as New York City mayor, cementing the party’s full embrace of its most extreme agenda and setting the tone for Democrats nationwide heading into 2026.”
NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella added:
“Zohran Mamdani is officially the leader of the Democrat Party, and the inevitable failures of his radical socialist, defund the police, abolish ICE, antisemitic agenda will be on full display. Every time Mamdani opens his mouth or swipes his pen, he tattoos the Democrat Party’s failures onto every House Democrat facing voters in 2026.”
That tattoo ink won’t stay in New York. Don’t let Nevada Democrats pretend this is a coastal problem. Our state’s delegation has been flirting with this ideology for years and now their standard-bearer is running America’s largest city.
Rep. Steven Horsford has happily campaigned with self-described socialist Bernie Sanders, embracing the same big-government, anti-law-enforcement worldview that Mamdani represents.
Rep. Dina Titus has proudly declared herself a “progressive,” while Rep. Susie Lee keeps voting lockstep with the far-left caucus in Washington.
This isn’t a coincidence. It’s coordination.
As NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez put it:
“Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford are now happily taking orders from radical socialist Zohran Mamdani and the far-left mob. Titus, Lee, and Horsford’s agenda of defunding the police, abolishing ICE, taxing hard-working Americans to death, and replacing common sense with chaos has no place in Nevada and will be overwhelmingly rejected in 2026.”
New York City is the Democrats’ beta test. Nevada is next – unless voters slam the brakes.
The New Year didn’t bring Democrats a course correction. It brought confirmation. The radicals are in charge now and Nevadans are watching.
