Titus, Lee, Horsford Vote Against Historic Rural Healthcare Investment for Nevada

While rural Nevada hospitals struggle to keep their doors open and families drive hours for basic care, Democrats Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford once again chose Washington partisanship over the people they represent.
All three voted against the largest rural healthcare investment in more than twenty years, a $50 billion national initiative designed to stabilize rural hospitals, expand access to care, and modernize healthcare infrastructure across all 50 states – and $179,931,608 for Nevada.
Passed through reconciliation, the funding is distributed over five years to strengthen rural healthcare systems, support innovation, and ensure underserved communities aren’t left behind. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services confirmed the awards will improve access and outcomes nationwide, including in Nevada’s rural counties, where hospitals operate on razor-thin margins.
Yet despite the urgent need, Titus, Lee, and Horsford voted no.
Their opposition stands in stark contrast to states like Texas, which aggressively sought and deployed rural health funding to keep hospitals open and protect patient access. Nevada risks falling behind — not because the resources weren’t available, but because its Democrat delegation refused to support them.
Republicans delivered the most significant rural healthcare investment since the early 2000s. Democrats offered the same tired obstruction and excuses.
“Nevada’s rural communities have been neglected by Democrats for years. Republicans provided the biggest rural healthcare investment in twenty years, despite Titus, Lee, and Horsford voting against it. Nevadans deserve leaders who put them first, not partisanship,” said RNC Spokesman Nick Poche.
NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez added, “Dina Titus, Susie Lee, and Steven Horsford did everything they could to prevent healthcare improvements for working families in Nevada. Titus, Lee, and Horsford have repeatedly failed Nevadans, which is why they’ll choose new leadership this year.”
For rural Nevadans, this vote wasn’t abstract. Emergency rooms, maternity wards, and lifesaving services depend on this funding. And when it mattered most, Titus, Lee, and Horsford weren’t there.
Voters are noticing, and they won’t forget who voted against rural healthcare when Nevada needed it most.
