NFL Owners Unanimously Vote to Bring Super Bowl LXIII Back to Las Vegas in 2029

The National Football League announced Monday at its annual spring meeting that Super Bowl LXIII is officially coming back to the “Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World” in 2029.

Following a unanimous vote by league owners, Allegiant Stadium has been selected to host the championship game on February 11, 2029. This marks the second time in five years that the Lombardi Trophy will be hoisted in Southern Nevada, following the historic success of Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.

Building on a Billion-Dollar Legacy

The decision to return to Las Vegas comes as little surprise to industry insiders. The 2024 debut shattered records, bringing over 330,000 visitors to the valley and generating an economic impact exceeding $1 billion.

“Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the scale, energy, and hospitality the city brings to global events,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “We look forward to working alongside the LVCVA, the Raiders, and the community to deliver an even greater experience this time around.”

A Transformational Decade for the Valley

The 2029 announcement solidifies Las Vegas as the premier destination for major sporting events. The upcoming years will see the city host:

  • 2027: College Football Playoff National Championship

  • 2028: NCAA Men’s Final Four

  • 2028: Planned debut of the Athletics’ new Las Vegas ballpark

  • 2029: Super Bowl LXIII

“Las Vegas was built for moments like this,” said Steve Hill, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). Hill noted that the city’s unique infrastructure—where the stadium, the Strip, and major fan activations are all within walking distance—remains a major draw for the league.

Local Impact and Community Engagement

Beyond the bright lights of the Strip, officials emphasized that the 2029 game would continue to support local initiatives. Clark County Commission Chair Michael Naft highlighted the “meaningful opportunities” the previous game provided for small business owners and the millions in legacy grants awarded to local nonprofits.

As part of the lead-up to the 2029 game, the city is expected to host a full week of sanctioned events, including NFL Honors, the Super Bowl Experience, and Super Bowl Opening Night.
