Yesterday, District Judge James Wilson granted a motion for summary judgment and dismissed the election contest lawsuit filed by Joey Gilbert on July 15th. Judge Wilson said that Gilbert failed to present “any competent evidence” that he received more votes than GOP nominee Joe Lombardo in the June gubernatorial primary.
As reported by The Globe, the defendants named in the suit were Governor Steve Sisolak, Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske, GOP challenger Sheriff Joe Lombardo, Clark County Registrar Joe Gloria, Clark County Commissioner Chairman Jim Gibson, Washoe County Commissioner Chairman Vaughn Hartung, and Washoe County Registrar Deanna Spikula.
The lawsuit alleged that the outcome of the June primary election was mathematically and geometrically impossible and further claimed that Gilbert won the primary by more than 50,000 votes. The lawsuit also demanded that the plaintiffs provide the electronic voting machines used statewide for a forensic analysis.
Gilbert claims to have irrefutable proof that the election was stolen and has refused to concede the primary election after vote counts show he lost the race to Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo. Gilbert received 27.6 percent of the vote and swept the majority of rural counties. Lombardo received 38.4 percent of the vote, winning both Washoe and Clark county. Those two counties comprise nearly 90 percent of the state’s active registered voters. A recount was conducted that did not change the initial outcome.
Gilbert supporter Robert Beadles told the Globe:
“It’s a sad day when you can prove the elections in Nevada are rigged and the judge doesn’t have the courage to address it. Instead, the judge forced Gilbert’s team to prove how much of the fraud affected Gilbert. We could have exposed this proof on Friday in the courtroom, but the judge canceled our opportunity to do so. We have mathematical, algorithmic proof that Clark County stole 55,000 votes from Gilbert. Now, Gilbert has to go to the Nevada Supreme Court and pray they have the courage to do what Judge Wilson refused to do: to hear and see the evidence. 83 percent of Americans know our elections have issues. Gilbert, when given his day in court, will prove it.”
