As GOP vice presidential nominee Senator JD Vance held two rallies in Nevada this weekend, the campaign deployed Trump Force 47, a grassroots program comprised of regional field offices, staff, and volunteers across the Silver state to energize voters through phone banking, door knocking and attending political and election integrity trainings.
The campaign announced that national surrogates like Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna will be criss-crossing the Silver State to recruit poll watchers and poll workers.
The Nevada field operation will focusing on voters’ top issues and concerns, from double-digit inflation, the open border/fentanyl crisis, and Kamala Harris’ “radical and dangerously liberal” agenda.
The Joint Economic Committee reports that Nevada’s inflation rate rose to a whopping 21.6 percent in the first quarter this year. Relative to January 2021 prices, Nevadans are paying an additional $1,168 per month, or $27,782 per year, for basic household expenses.
“Record high gas prices and inflation has hit my family hard the past few years. We were better off four years ago under President Trump and I look forward to the return of his strong economic and immigration policies. Unlike Kamala Harris, Republicans are championing commonsense solutions to help our nation. Just this weekend during the Trump campaign’s 100 Day of Action we heard from Rep. Anna Paulina Luna about the ways we can help to protect the vote and ensure safe and secure elections. From the border crisis to policies which safeguard our elections, Republicans are supporting policies that have created strong momentum which will ensure Nevadans send Donald J. Trump back to the White House,” Blanca Fox, a volunteer from Las Vegas told The Globe.
In a briefing call with reporters last week held to highlight Vice President Kamala Harris’ failed record at the southern border, former President Donald J. Trump blamed “Border Czar” Harris for the border crisis, warning “if she is elected, our country will be permanently destroyed…Illegal immigration will obliterate Medicare and Social Security. She will make the invasion exponentially worse.”
“While Democrats were in disarray about who would be at the top of the ticket – Democrats lied about Joe Biden’s cognitive capabilities for months – Republicans in Nevada have been united and hard at work – meeting the voters where they are. For months, our staff and volunteers have been recruiting thousands of volunteers to be poll watchers and poll workers, and activating thousands of Trump Force 47 captains, who are talking neighbor-to-neighbor about the key issues Nevadans care about. A desperate media blitz by the Harris campaign is just the Democrat’s latest attempt to save face against Kamala’s failed and dangerously liberal agenda. No amount of photo-ops will help Kamala Harris trick voters this November,” Halee Dobbins, RNC NV State Communications Director said in a statement.
Recent polling shows that Harris has gained ground on Trump since President Joe Biden withdrew from the campaign. In his last two attempts, President Trump has lost Nevada by an average of two to three points. As the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party, Harris has until September to file with the Nevada Secretary of State to appear on the November ballot.
