LAS VEGAS, NV — The City of Las Vegas and homebuilder Century Communities will join forces tomorrow morning, Thursday, April 30, 2026, to break ground on a new park honoring fallen Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Officer Igor Soldo.
Honoring a Hero
Officer Soldo, 31, and his partner, Officer Alyn Beck, were ambushed and killed in the line of duty on June 8, 2014. While Officer Beck was honored with a memorial park in 2020, tomorrow’s ceremony marks the commencement of the final, lasting tribute to both officers within the Skye Canyon community.
“This park ensures Officer Soldo’s life and service will be remembered for generations to come,” said Century Communities Division President Shane Markuson.
