LAS VEGAS – On Wednesday afternoon, a woman’s lifeless body was discovered inside a residence in the 5300 block of Railroad River Avenue, situated near Eldorado Lane and Lindell Road in Las Vegas. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. after receiving a welfare check request from the woman’s sister and mother, as they had not been able to contact her for an extended period.
The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found dead upstairs in the house. Her roommate, a man in his 30s, was taken into custody by the police. Lt. Jason Johansson of the Metropolitan Police Department mentioned that the man made statements indicating his knowledge of the woman’s demise and its possible cause.
As of now, the exact cause of the woman’s death remains uncertain, and Lt. Johansson stated that they are still in the early stages of the investigation.
“We are not at that point in our investigation where I can definitively say,” Johansson said.
Based on preliminary findings, it appears that the woman had been deceased for over a week before her body was discovered.
The home is located within a gated community, adding to the mystery surrounding the tragic incident. Further updates are awaited as law enforcement continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
