Explosive Device Used During Youth Church Event in Henderson, Investigation Underway

Henderson, NV – Law enforcement is investigating after an explosive device was reportedly used during a youth church event at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) on Wednesday night.
A letter sent to the Palm Canyon Ward of the LDS church describing a “scary incident” during a “combined youth activity.” The letter reportedly stated, “Apparently, some outside person threw a device that caused an explosion in the gymnasium of the Arrowhead building.”
A juvenile who was present during the event provided a photo showing damage to the gym floor. An LDS Stake President told the news outlet that there have been three similar incidents involving explosive devices thrown at the same building within the last month.
Adding to the concern, A similar incident happened near Mission Hills Park on Wednesday night as well.
Both the FBI and the Henderson Police Department have confirmed a joint investigation into these events.
