Homeowner Fatally Shoots Intruder in Las Vegas Residence, LVMPD Investigating

LAS VEGAS – A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday night when a homeowner shot and killed an unknown individual who had entered their home, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).
The shooting occurred in a residential neighborhood located in the 10000 block of West Tropical Parkway, near North Hualapai Way.
According to law enforcement authorities, the homeowner discovered the presence of an intruder in their residence and subsequently discharged a firearm, striking the intruder. Sadly, the intruder succumbed to the gunshot wound and was pronounced dead.
The LVMPD’s Homicide units swiftly responded to the scene to initiate an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As of now, the investigation remains ongoing, and further details, including the identities of those involved, have not been released.
The LVMPD is urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.

What’s tragic are criminals getting away with murder only to let out on the streets again. Thankfully the home owner “Victim” wasn’t killed while defending self and home.
