LAS VEGAS – Authorities warn people to avoid a desert area in northeast Las Vegas due to increased violence and crime.
Northeast Area Command of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department issued a “safety concern notice” Friday.
This weekend, avoid congregating in the desert at Lake Mead Blvd and Arnona Rd (otherwise known as The Saddle).
Nighttime violence has increased at this location.
Shootings, robberies, and other crimes have been reported.
Our station will increase patrols because of the area’s popularity.
Stay careful and hang out elsewhere.
