Kidnapping Leads To Officer-Involved Shooting in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – Early this morning, a kidnapping incident turned into an officer-involved shooting, which is currently being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the Boulder City Police Department, a woman reported being kidnapped by a man, and officers found the victim and suspect in a vehicle near US-95 and Black Hills Drive.
After a chase, the LVMPD took over and located the vehicle at Owens Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
The suspect was armed and pointed their gun at one of the victims, leading the officer to shoot them.
The suspect is currently in critical condition at University Medical Center, and two of the three victims are also hospitalized.
The LVMPD will release more information within 72 hours, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the LVMPD Force Investigation Team or Crime Stoppers.
East Charleston Boulevard is closed from South Lamb Boulevard to Arden Street, and drivers are advised to take alternate routes.
