Las Vegas Attorney Arrested: Accused of Running ‘Prostitution Ring’ and Plotting Murder-for-Hire

In a shocking case of abuse of power, longtime Las Vegas attorney Gary Guymon, 62, was arrested on charges including sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit murder, pandering, and witness intimidation. Police allege that Guymon used his position as a defense attorney to coerce female clients into prostitution, threaten their lives, and orchestrate a murder-for-hire plot against a woman who defied him.

According to an extensive police investigation, Guymon ran what he referred to as the “$100 Club,” forcing vulnerable women—some of whom he was supposed to be defending—to perform sexual acts for him and his associates. The arrest report details disturbing threats, including messages where Guymon demanded obedience, warning one woman that he might “smash your teeth out of your mouth” if she resisted.

Authorities began investigating Guymon in November 2024, uncovering multiple victims and tracking his movements. The case reveals a pattern of predatory behavior, with Guymon leasing apartments, buying luxury vehicles for his victims, and then using manipulation, fear, and violence to control them.

One of the most disturbing elements of the case involves a murder-for-hire plot. When one of his victims tried to break free and seek legal protection, Guymon allegedly contacted a convicted felon and arranged for another individual, previously arrested for murder, to kill the woman in exchange for money. Police intercepted messages and phone records detailing the plot before it could be carried out.

Guymon, who once worked in the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, has been a high-profile defense attorney in Las Vegas for years. His arrest has sent shockwaves through the legal community. Even as police were investigating him, Guymon was seen representing clients in court as recently as mid-January.

During questioning, Guymon denied organizing prostitution but admitted to receiving “lap dances” from clients and claimed he was simply “trying to help them out.” However, the evidence uncovered by detectives, including graphic text messages, surveillance footage, and testimony from victims, paints a much darker picture.

Guymon remains in the Clark County Detention Center and is set to appear in court Tuesday.
