LAS VEGAS, NV — A man was shot and killed during an argument in an east-corridor parking lot blocks from the Las Vegas Strip, prompting an active search for the shooter by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The shooting occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, in the 4600 block of Grand Drive, an urban commercial and multi-family pocket situated near Koval Lane and Tropicana Avenue.

Gunfire in Commercial Lot Following Dispute

According to preliminary findings released by Metro, emergency dispatchers received multiple calls reporting gunshots in the 4600 block of Grand Drive.

Patrol officers arriving on scene found an adult male lying on the pavement of a parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot trauma.

Clark County Fire Department emergency medical personnel were dispatched to administer life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives established that the victim and suspect were engaged in a verbal confrontation in the parking lot.

During the dispute, the suspect produced a handgun, fired multiple rounds directly into the victim, and fled on foot before patrol units arrived.

Coroner Verification and Ongoing Detective Canvas

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased along with the official cause and manner of death once next-of-kin notifications are finalized.
