Nellis Air Force Base Warns Northeast Las Vegas Valley Residents to Expect More Noise During Its Free Air Show
LAS VEGAS – As part of its free Aviation Nation air show, Nellis Air Force Base tells people in the northeast Las Vegas Valley to expect more noise.
A news release from Nov. 4–6 says that this will be the first air show at Nellis in three years.
“Aviation Nation 2022 is the most important part of the Air Force’s 75th anniversary celebrations. The release says, “For 75 years, American Airmen have done a great job carrying out the Air Force’s mission to fly, fight, and win, delivering airpower anytime, anywhere to defend our country.”
Nellis says that more than 100,000 people are expected to watch Aviation Nation. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Aftershock Jet Fire Truck, the Air Combat Command’s F-35 Lightning II Demonstration Team, and many other groups will perform in the air and static displays.
“Home of the fighter pilot” is what Nellis Air Force Base says it is known as.
