LAS VEGAS – Nevada is still one of the worst states for teachers, even though it looks like we’re making some progress.
According to a new report from WalletHub, Nevada is in 42nd place. The report says that our average starting salaries for teachers are some of the lowest in the country.
It also says that we have the 48th most students per teacher and spend some of the least on each child’s education.
The overall quality of our school system is 39th.
