Northwest Valley’s Holiday Lights Improve Safety

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The holiday season is bringing illumination to a northwest valley community in more ways than one.
Travis Jacks lives in Lusitano Ranch and has installed security lighting to keep his family secure.
“We wanted to install some permanent lights on the home so that it throws some light out here in the street while the kids are out playing,” Jacks remarked.
“We are within county limits, so we don’t have streetlights like there would normally be in the city, and the builder to this neighborhood has coach lights on everyone’s house to make for a cozy feel, but when we have our kids out here playing, it’s still just a little bit too dark,” Jacks said.
According to Ben Cockrell of Jellyfish Lighting, the business that installed the lights, they have rapidly realized that their lights serve more than simply an aesthetic purpose, and as a result, he has noticed an increase in the number of people interested in their product.
“They wanted something that is bright enough so they can light up their home and their property and their kids can run back and forth and play safe,” Cockrell said.
