The governing board of Nevada State University (NSU), under the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), has approved a lease agreement for a new campus building in North Las Vegas.
The new facility — a three-story, 30,000-square-foot structure — will be located within the mixed-use “NLV Gateway” development at the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard North.
The campus is expected to house academic programs, workforce development offerings, and student support services, with the goal of expanding access to higher education for local residents.
Local leaders praised the move as a major boost for the community.
Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2026, with plans for the campus to open in the fall of 2027.
