LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – A Southern Nevada group committed to assisting homeless adolescents is launching its annual giving drive, which will benefit everyone who contributes.
The Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY) is holding its 7th Annual Giving Campaign this Christmas season, urging the community to support in a variety of ways.
Those interested in donating may do so at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Ice Rink on Saturday, December 11, during the Marquee Nightclub’s Night Circus pop-up and the Tao Group Hospitality Cares Christmas campaign.
Guests who make a donation from NPHY’s Holiday Wish List will receive a free skate rental beginning at 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Donors above the age of 21 will also receive complimentary access to Marquee Nightclub that night.
The following Saturday, December 17 and 18, the organization will conduct its 7th Annual “It’s A Wrap” Holiday Block Party beginning at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at NPHY’s Drop-In Center
Volunteers are encouraged to bring family, friends, and coworkers to the event to assist select, produce, and wrap gifts as well as prepare Christmas cards for children.
Community people who want to help NPHY in other ways are urged to organize a donation drive among employers, schools, and churches, or to make a monetary gift.
Purchased products can be delivered directly to NPHY, or gift donations can be dropped off at the NPHY Drop-In Center, which is situated at 4981 Shirley St. near UNLV and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to 5 p.m.
During the holiday season, the group claims they are constantly in need of volunteers to help with Christmas decoration, holiday contribution sorting, event planning and support, and gift wrapping and delivery.
