Southern Nevada Remembers: Memorial Day Ceremonies Planned Across the Region

Southern Nevada residents will gather on Monday to commemorate Memorial Day, a day dedicated to honoring and remembering U.S. military personnel who died while serving their country. Several ceremonies are planned throughout the region to mark this somber occasion.
Las Vegas Events:
- Palm Mortuaries:
- Boy Scouts of America Flag Ceremony: 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Palm Eastern Cemetery (7600 S. Eastern Ave.)
- Downtown Cemetery Service: 9:00 am – 10:00 am, followed by the Fordyce Club of Las Vegas Memorial Day Service (10:00 am – 11:00 am)
- American Legion Nevada Post 76: 21st Annual Memorial Day Ceremony: 9:30 am at Lake Sahara South Park (Lake South and Shoreline Drives)
Henderson Ceremony:
The City of Henderson will hold a ceremony at Cornerstone Park (1600 Wigwam Parkway), where over 400 U.S. flags have been planted.
Boulder City Ceremony:
The annual ceremony at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City will begin at 1:00 pm. Attendees are advised to arrive early for parking.
Additionally:
A ceremony will be held in Fernley, east of Reno, at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 am.
These Memorial Day services offer a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who served in the U.S. military.
