Surge of Violence in Las Vegas: Three Dead in Separate Incidents

LAS VEGAS, NV – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is investigating a series of violent deaths in a disturbing spike in crime within the city.
Dumpster Discovery
On April 29th, the body of a woman was found in a dumpster near the intersection of West Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road. The victim, who has not yet been identified, had suffered multiple stab wounds.
Murder-Suicide
Later that same day, officers responded to a report of gunshot victims on Gladstone Peak Court. A man and a woman were found inside the home with gunshot wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. Investigators believe this to be a murder-suicide.
Homicide on East Sahara Avenue
On Sunday night, authorities discovered a body with gunshot wounds near the 800 block of East Sahara Avenue, marking another suspected homicide.
Ongoing Investigations
All three incidents are active investigations by the LVMPD Homicide Section. The identification of the victims will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
