Two Coyote Attacks Reported in Henderson

Henderson, NV – The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is issuing a warning after two separate coyote attacks occurred in Pittman Wash near Green Valley Parkway in Henderson.
On Sunday, July 7, and again on Friday, July 12, women were bitten by coyotes while walking in the area. Both victims sustained puncture wounds to their lower legs and required medical attention.
While coyote attacks are considered rare, NDOW’s Urban Wildlife Education Coordinator, Claire Clarke, suggests that these incidents might be linked to protective behavior associated with denning sites.
To prevent coyote encounters, NDOW recommends the following:
Do not run.
Make yourself appear large.
Make loud noises.
Throw objects.
Stand your ground.
Avoid feeding coyotes.

The Coyotes are starving. And they likely have little puppies depending on them as well If they are vicious that’s why.
