Bay Area Woman Dies After Falling Over Eagle Falls on Fourth of July

NEVADA – On the Fourth of July, a woman from the Bay Area named Ishrat Binta Azim fell over the edge of Eagle Falls near Lake Tahoe and died.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the incident just before 3 p.m. and found her body in a pool of water near the Vikingsholm walking path.
According to the sheriff, Azim slipped and fell over the edge while attempting to dip her toes in the falls’ upper pools. No foul play is suspected in her death.
