Bail Set at $1 Million for Suspect Accused of Fatal Shooting in Sun Valley

NEVADA – Esteban Garcia, a 21-year-old man, is facing a $1 million bail following his arrest for the alleged shooting and killing of 20-year-old Jennifer Beltran-Galassi in Sun Valley. Garcia has been charged with open murder and battery with the use of a deadly weapon in connection to the incident.
According to law enforcement, Garcia had previously been issued a no-contact order with the victim in July. Tragically, the victim’s life came to a tragic end as she was discovered shot to death inside a vehicle over the weekend.
Earlier this year, on July 27th, Garcia was convicted of domestic battery and abuse, neglect, or endangerment of a child in the Sparks Justice Court. He was subsequently sentenced to probation.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office has stated that there are no outstanding suspects related to this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
