FERNLEY, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe)- On Sunday night, a fire damaged a shed behind a Fernley company.
Late about 8 p.m., North Lyon County Fire Protection District crews responded to a building fire behind the Carpet King on 95A. on Oct. 30. When we arrived, we saw a totally consumed shed on the back of the property.
Firefighting activities were delayed, according to authorities, since there were no water sources or hydrants in the region. Over 40,000 gallons of water were shuttled in for the event with the help of Storey County Fire, Central Lyon Fire, and the Water Tenders from North Lyon Fire.
The building was completely destroyed.
The fire’s origin is being investigated.
