Former Nevada Lieutenant Governor Lonnie Hammargren Passes Away

NEVADA – Former Nevada Lieutenant Governor Lonnie Hammargren passes away.
Hammargren served as lieutenant governor from 1995 to 1999 and was previously a regent on the Nevada System of Higher Education.
He also worked as a neurosurgeon in southern Nevada.
Known for his extensive collection of Nevada history, Hammargren offered public tours of his home featuring artifacts such as vintage casino signs, a functioning railroad, and even a rollercoaster.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman expresses condolences.
