Impaired Driver with Missing Wheel Sparks Chaos on Highway

NEVADA – In a reckless display of disregard for public safety, an impaired driver was caught driving down a highway with a missing wheel on Friday night. The incident resulted in a brief pursuit by law enforcement officials, during which the road was lit with sparks.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deployed its RAVEN helicopter and deputies to assist their regional partners in bringing the situation under control. Fortunately, the driver was stopped safely without any further incidents.

Footage from the scene shows the driver waving out the window and signaling for law enforcement officers to pass. The driver was then taken into custody without any further resistance.

The identity of the driver remains unknown at this time. However, the individual is expected to be charged with driving under the influence.
