In Stead, a 1-Acre Brushfire Is Caused by Illegal Fireworks Near US-395
NEVADA – On Saturday afternoon, fire crews in Stead extinguished a brush fire spread over an acre of land near US-395.
The Indigo Circle area between US-395 and Red Rock Road and Stead Boulevard was experiencing a brush fire around 3:48 p.m., and the Reno Fire Department (RFD) was called to the scene.
Illegal fireworks were found to be the cause of the fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished, according to RFD. As far as anyone knows, nobody got hurt, and traffic wasn’t even affected.
