Man Arrested for Making Terroristic Threats Against University of Nevada and Local Restaurant on Social Media

NEVADA – A 21-year-old man, Skyler Starr-Wong, has been taken into custody for allegedly making terroristic threats against the University of Nevada, Reno and a local restaurant on social media. According to authorities, the threats were posted on social media at around 1 p.m. on May 7 and mentioned gun violence at the university and the restaurant.
UNR stated on Sunday night that its Police Department was aware of the threatening posts, and they were being investigated with the assistance of regional law enforcement agencies. On May 8, law enforcement apprehended Starr-Wong without incident, and he is now facing five felony counts of making terroristic threats.
