NEVADA – As of 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, NV Energy reported that over 42,000 customers in northern Nevada were without power.
According to NV Energy, the outages are caused by a big area storm that is dumping a lot of snow and rain on our area.
There is no timetable for when electricity will be restored to all locations, but some will be without power until Sunday afternoon.
Liberty Utilities reports that approximately 25,000 customers in Northern California are without electricity.
NDOT also asks that anyone who does not have to travel during these conditions do so.
