LAS VEGAS, NV — A local youth gymnastics coach has been arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center (CCDC) following an intensive investigation into multi-victim juvenile sexual misconduct allegations at a Las Vegas athletic studio.

The arrest comes amid heightened scrutiny surrounding student safety and professional physical boundaries inside regional youth sports training environments.

Restroom Stall Confrontations

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Child Abuse Team unsealed an arrest report confirming the apprehension of Michael Nestor, 53, following formal interviews with multiple juvenile victims. Nestor faces several felony counts, including child abuse and open sexual misconduct involving minors under his training supervision.

According to unsealed field command logs, the criminal inquiry began after two young gymnastics students independently came forward to their parents detailing a progressive pattern of boundary violations inside the training academy. The victims alleged that Nestor cornered them on separate occasions inside the facility’s restroom stalls. While inside the enclosed spaces, the coach allegedly made inappropriate physical contact, repeatedly squeezing the juveniles’ buttocks before releasing them back to the active training floor.

CCDC Booking and Outright Denial

The arrest report notes that detectives executed a targeted field interview with the veteran trainer on Monday, June 29, 2026. During the recorded police interview, Nestor flatly denied all claims raised by the young athletes. He told investigators that he had never inappropriately touched a child, explicitly stating to a detective, “I didn’t touch them.”

Despite his dynamic denials, investigators cited corroborating statements and isolated timelines within the facility to establish probable cause.
