Heat Extends Las Vegas Cooling Stations
By TheNevadaGlobeStaff, September 7, 2022 7:12 am
All of the cooling stations in the Las Vegas valley will now stay open until September 8.
The original plan was for the cooling stations to be open until Sept. 6. But because the excessive heat warning for the Las Vegas Valley has been extended, the stations will now stay open for as long as possible.
Some of the signs of heat exhaustion are feeling tired, getting dizzy, and throwing up. The National Weather Service says that heat is one of the main weather-related killers in the country, causing hundreds of deaths each year.
