For Families in Need Northern Nevada Dream Center Gathering Holiday Food Bags and Presents

RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – Northern Nevada Dream Center is a non-profit organization situated in Carson City. This year marks the 8th Annual Dream Christmas Fundraiser.

Throughout the month of December, a mobile caravan of holiday cheer and sweets will be distributed to people and families in need.

Susan Sorenson, executive director, and Bethany Herzing, director of programs and volunteers, joined by Morning Break to explain how you can help give or hand out contributions to make the holidays a bit brighter for local families.

Individuals, churches, companies, and service groups from all around the area have contributed to the filling of more than 800 Dream Christmas food bags this year. You may sponsor a family online for $30, and the Dream Center will fill a bag with all the essentials. Volunteers will distribute Dream Christmas food bags, turkeys, hams, jackets, hats, gloves, and other holiday goods to places around Northern Nevada.

December 17th • 10 AM • Highlands at Vista Apartments (Indian Hills)
December 17th • 11 AM • Foothill Garden Apartments (Carson City)

In addition to Dream Christmas meal delivery, the second annual Dream Christmas Toy Drive is underway! Toy donations for youngsters ages 1 to 18 are being collected through December 19. Families with children may sign up for toys here.
